"Low salary and comfort zone."
Product Marketing 2013 Former Employee · 11 Apr 2013Pros
The colleagues are generally helpful and will help each other. A good place to retire if you are want to be in a comfort zone.
Cons
Despite been a permanent staff for 6 years, I was not promoted beside having a good performance appraisal which was very frustrating. I also found out that they pay higher salary to new hires, even new fresh graduates' salaries are generally on par or more due to the current market rate. To make matter worse, our salary Increment is only a mere 0.02%, how to cope with the inflation out there? The blaming culture is very strong in this company. I also encounter quite a number of people who are very hostile, especially the middle management when heated word of exchange are common in meeting rooms. Lack of ideas, sometimes I feel the company is doing something just because it is the trend, but by the time the product is launch(due to many internal processes and approval), that trend has already passed.
Advice to Management
Since you are one of the most profitable state-owned company here, I do not see why you do not want to pay your employees accordingly. Also, management should try to have pantries for staff
